Collection: Hassan Abdelfattah

Hassan Abdel Fattah was born in Mahallah Al-Kubra, Egypt in 1938. He received his PhD in Fine Arts in 1984. Abdel Fattah is recognized as the first PhD degree holder in Painting to be obtained by a faculty member. It is worth noting that he supervised the establishment of the Faculty of Fine Arts at The University of Luxor and The University of South Valley.

Hassan was invited as a visiting Professor at Washington DC University in The United States in 1994. He held a number of solo exhibitions in Egypt, USA, Germany, and Tunisia in addition to his participation in many group exhibitions in France, Syria, Yemen and others.

Hassan Abd El Fattah's artworks are dynamic, full of life, with luminous color contrasts and close attention to light reflecting true warmth and urban vitality.
