Collection: Mohamed El Fayoumy

Born in El Fayoum, Egypt 1963, after his BA degree he studied free studies at The Faculty of Fine Arts under the supervision of artists Abd Elhady El Weshahy and Sobhi Girgus. Mohamed El Fayoumy grew to be a distinctive figurative sculptor and is a member of Mahmoud Mokhtar Association, the Cairo Atelier and the Syndicate of Plastic Artists. His works were exhibited in Egypt, France, Eastern Europe, Dubai and several countries.

Mohamed El Fayoumy creates sculptures influenced by Egyptian heritage with cheeky undertone by manipulating the dimensions of his subjects such as Kaydahoum and the seated peasant. Fayoumy strives to achieve sensuousness, voluptuous figures which appears to be heavy and round, yet exude the light-hearted cheerfulness and satire of the hearty Egyptian culture.

His works were sold in well-known auction such as Christies, Bonhams and Sotheby auction house.
