Collection: Mona Eliwa

Born in Dakahlia, Egypt 1969. Mona received her Master’s Degree in 1996, and later her PhD in Murals. She is currently working as a Professor at the Faculty of Fine Arts Alexandria University. Eliwa won the second prize in painting at ASREA competition in Rome, Italy. She also participated in many local and international exhibitions.

Eliwa imbued a heightened sense of realism in her own style, expressed through human form especially women figures. Her subjects retain a softness in fleshy detail, delicately arranged and woven throughout the entire canvas. Mona mosaic reflects her attention to technique, small details. She uses different materials to achieve a piece of art which carrier her unique style.
