Fathy Afifi
Fathi Afifi is immersed with the Egyptian revolution thought, movement of labors and Egyptian socialistic beliefs, in addition to factories which were created in the era of Gamal Abdel Nasser. His paintings reflect the conflict between machine and human being moreover the relationship between man, who was swallowed up by production mechanism, with its capable arms, and shinning lights in a Cramping, grease and moisture atmosphere, suffering, exhausted and lost. But in the central spot light, Afifi managed to be an ascetic expressing the relationship of human being and machine and creating his own unique signature.
