Collection: Reda Abdelsalam

Born in Suez, Egypt 1947, Reda works as a Professor of painting at Faculty of Fine Arts, Cairo, Egypt. He was a member of several cultural committees as the plastic-arts committee of the Culture-Supreme Council (1996-2003) (2013-2017).

Abd El salam pays great attention to human and aesthetic contents, local environment, coastal roots, reality of contemporary. Life gained him rich sources of creativity and inspiration.

Abd El Salam published five books in arts such as, “Contemporary Egyptian Drawing”, Dar Al-Hilal, 2002.

He has many critical studies on artists such as; Mounir Canaan, Zakaria Al-Zeini, Mohammed El-Shaarawy, Rawoff Raafat Etc. He participated in numerous committees and public contests of Youth Salon, Cairo Biennale Award creativity, the State Incentive Award, and Chairman of the Arbitration of the 17th youth salon, as well as taking part in local and international exhibitions since in 1981uptill now at Yugoslavia, Switzerland, Spain, Italy, Brazil, India, Kuwait, Azerbaijan.

He has many acquisitions among individuals in the Arab world, Europe and America as well as museums such; Titograde museum, the Museum of Modern Art and many private and governmental buildings in Egypt.
